| Description: |
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville (the owner), owns 18 multi-residential and 177 family rent-geared-to-income buildings located throughout Leeds Grenville. The buildings in Mallorytown and Spencerville both require diesel generators. 3 Miller Dr., Mallorytown, is a 2 storey, 17 one-bedroom apartment structure, while 33 Bennett St., Spencerville has 2 stories, and 15 one-bedroom apartments. We invite respondents to participate in the Request for Quotation for the provision of all materials, equipment and labour required to complete this project. It is expected that this project will be completed by November 1, 2026. All bidders will be required to submit a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Sub Total Contract Price exclusive of all applicable taxes (i.e.: HST). The Bid Bond stands as security for the execution and delivery of the Contract, and the provision of the required bonds, insurance and other documents required to be delivered by the selected Bidder upon execution and delivery of the Contract. If the selected Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Contract and/or deliver the other required documents, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited and retained and applied for use by the Counties. The Bid Bond shall be in the following form; A Bid Bond using CCDC 220, or the same format and content as in CCDC 220 or other form used by a Surety company, authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario, and acceptable to the Counties. The Bid Bond shall remain valid and in effect for a period not less than ninety (90) calendar days from the closing time and date. A Performance Bond for the due completion of the Work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract, which bond shall be in an amount equal to 50% of the Sub Total Contract Price (excluding all applicable taxes) in the form of CCDC 221 or the most recent Ontario Provincial Standard Form or the Surety Association of Canada’s new “process enhanced” performance bond. Site Meeting – If you did not attend the first site meetings, you can arrange with Dave Powers, Asset and Facility Supervisor, to see both locations.
